History Lecture Series at Copper Fox Distillery: The SBD Dauntless: An amazing story over 80 years in the making. The Military Aviation Museum’s historic SBD Dauntless. Found at the bottom of Lake Michigan, recovered, and now being restored to airworthiness, this discussion will cover the SBD’s significance in WWII and a forgotten aspect of how the war was fought from the Great Lakes.

Greenspring Garden Club Christmas Tour of Homes, This year’s annual tour of homes takes place in Colonial Williamsburg. Enjoy three homes no usually open to the public, the coach barn and rare breeds program and beautiful arrangements, both indoors and out, provided by local florists and club members.

Illuminated Costume Contest Light up the night when you head to Ashland, VA for one of their many annual fun events. This Illuminated Costume Contest is a great opportunity to show your creativity and come home with a prize. An amazing story over 80 years in the making: the Military Aviation Museum’s historic SBD Dauntless. Lecture on Benedict Arnold’s Raid of Richmond at Wilton House Museum. In January, 1781, General Benedict Arnold led British forces on a raid of the new Virginian state capital of Richmond. In just twenty-four hours, the British drove off American defenders, destroyed supplies, and burned several industries. While Richmond is well known for its Civil War history, this Revolutionary War battle and occupation has been largely overlooked.
